Live Action Light Painting

Live Action Light Painting

This is quite an intriguing piece. Everybody has seen the light painting techniques in photography, or used in stop motion animation with an open shutter. This one is different, it shows people in live action footage leaving a trail of light that stays there, and it has everybody guessing on their vimeo page and the creators aren't giving anything away, although if you look closely you can notice the layering techniques used in post production.

It was pointed out, however that a frech collective did something very similar a few years ago as a real-time interactive installation. Take a look at their page and the videos there and you might get an insight into the techniques used.
