Codswallop is a BAFTA nominated animated short from The Brothers McLeod. It's based on a series of stream-of-consciousness illustrations by Greg McLeod which were sent on postcards to his son.

While the animations, illustrations and sound effects are quite surreal it never seems to fall into the trap of being weird for weirds sake - on the contrary they are often quite funny and some seem to have an observation or concept to them.

The way they are presented is a nice touch too, with the "postcards" scrolling through so that two are always visible. I like this as the focus is on the left-hand animation, but the right one is already being established as the next one. I also enjoy the fact that the cards seem to go round full circle, as if the last few are a continuation of the beginning ones - this really left me wanting more.
