Created by INK

'INK use digital illustration and animation to tell stories and bring ideas to life.

Our ethos is simple; to produce the very best work possible no matter the scale of the brief. Our approach is fresh with no preconceived ideas, formulas or formats. We use digital illustration and animation to capture the atmosphere and emotion of an idea, space or event.

INK is a digital workshop where what we create defines our studio.'

'The brief to INK was to deliver a promotional film to showcase Santander’s sponsorships with Vodafone McLaren Mercedes and the British Grand Prix. The film was launched ahead of the 2011 Formula 1 Santander British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

The objective of the brief was to produce an exciting and engaging film for use on social networking sites, international broadcast networks and special events. The brief was to focus on the excitement surrounding the new track and emphasise the racing experience from a Formula 1 driver’s point of view.

The concept for the film was based on a lap of the new track with Vodafone McLaren Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button. The drivers narrated their personal experiences of the circuit, capturing the demands on the drivers and the highs and lows of past races whilst recalling classic moments at the circuit.

Drawing upon the aesthetic of digital race telemetry we combined CGI with live action footage to create a digital film showcasing the new-look Santander British Grand Prix.'
